Now that my party has been and gone, I feel obliged to post the invite. I then, in a later post, will describe what really happened.
You have been invited to Rachel’s dinner party on Saturday 15th May, where one shall discuss pleasantries, such as the weather and the current fabrics in fashion. The venue will be at the Peking Palace, in Caversham, but all guests will gather in the gardens of Caversham Court at 6.45, weather permitting. One would be expected to dress in formal attire. Carriages at 10 o’clock.
